The EM425-UK is a smart electricity meter for residential use. It is a highly flexible solution that combines HAN connectivity with metering technology to create a solution mainly aimed at the UK smart metering segment.

The EM425-UK is the latest evolution of residential electricity metering from Itron. The two processors which separate metrology from functionality allow for a range of features including complex tariffs, prepayment rules and load management data to be easily updated post installation. Field swappable modules (FSM) will be supported for wide area network communications such as GPRS or long range radio. The graphics capable dot matrix display can display customised messages.
