nRF54LM20 Zigbee R23

The nRF54LM20 Zigbee R23 platform combines ultra-low-power, multiprotocol nRF54LM20 System-on-Chip with Nordic’s Zigbee R23 add-on. This add-on is based on the nRF Connect SDK and integrates the DSR ZBOSS Zigbee stack.

The nRF54LM20 is part of the nRF54L Series, together with the nRF54L15, nRF54L10 and nRF54L05. All wireless SoCs in the nRF54L Series integrate an ultra-low-power multiprotocol 2.4 GHz radio and MCU (Microcontroller Unit) functionality, featuring a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, 128 MHz RISC-V coprocessor, and comprehensive peripheral set. The series offers a selection of packages and memory size options with pin-to-pin compatible QFN packages.

Nordic’s proprietary technologies, such as low-leakage RAM and advanced multiprotocol radio design, enable ultra-low power consumption, reducing battery size or increasing lifetime.

nRF54LM20 is the largest memory option in the series, with 2 MB NVM and 512 KB RAM, for the most demanding applications requiring additional headroom for the Zigbee stack, application logic, and OTA/DFU image management. It also features an extended peripheral set, including high-speed USB, and is available with up to 66 GPIOs. The nRF54LM20A and nRF54LM20B variants share the same wireless and memory configuration; the nRF54LM20B additionally integrates a 128 MHz Axon NPU for on-device edge AI workloads, without affecting Zigbee stack operation on the Cortex-M33 core.
