SH 2.0 Module for Window Covering

The mediola Smart Home 2.0 module is a cutting-edge OEM product designed to equip motorized window covering systems with support of Matter over Thread, Bluetooth and Sub-1 GHz wireless communication.

Based on an innovative and modular hardware architecture, the SH 2.0 module offers easy integration into a wide range of product designs. A key innovation is mediola’s newly developed Multi-Stack technology, which enables simultaneous support for multiple communication protocols.

The universal SH 2.0 Core Module operates autonomously and includes all control logic, including full Matter compatibility. To ensure easy adaptation to different mainboard configurations, mediola additionally provides special Adapter Boards as a flexible hardware bridge. These can be customized and equipped with 433 / 868 MHz transceivers, enabling reliable Sub-1 GHz communication.

Thanks to the integrated Multi-Stack technology and mediola connect protocol, multiple applications and communication layers can run simultaneously. This allows products to be controlled via Thread, Bluetooth, and Sub-1 GHz wireless communication at the same time. Thus, devices can be operated via Bluetooth without network infrastructure (e.g. on a construction site), through traditional Sub-1 GHz remote controls, as well as via the mediola connect app or a custom OEM app. Via Matter, the products can be integrated into the leading smart home platforms from Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, etc. and controlled and automated with their voice assistants and apps.
