John Zhang

As the Connectivity Standards Leader at OPPO, John Zhang is responsible for conducting research and standardization efforts in connectivity and IoT wireless technologies, providing strategic support to connectivity product team by leveraging standards development, PoC system design, and ensuring seamless product integration.

He participates in global and regional standards organizations including CSA, ICCOA, CCSA, and IEEE 802.11 WG on behalf of OPPO and has made valuable contributions to the development and promotion of Matter, Carlink, C2C open ecosystem protocol, and nextgeneration WLAN standards. Additionally, John has led or contributed to more than 50 patent applications.

John received his Master’s degree in Communication Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in China.
