Position location: US/Fully Remote (Org HQ: Davis, CA)
Overview
The technical and certification associate for the Connectivity Standards Alliance will be responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with the operation of the Certification programs and other member-related technical support activities.
Job Duties
- Answering certification related questions from members and the general public
- Maintain and develop working relationships with the Alliance Authorized Test Laboratories (ATLs)
- Support the candidate ATL validation process
- Review, evaluate and take action on submitted applications for certification, certification by similarity, certification transfer and any other certification programs developed by the Alliance
- Reporting of certification metrics to Alliance management
- Maintain and enhance web-based tools related to certification and certification submissions
- Support the maintenance & licensing of Alliance test tools
- Assist in pre and post-test event activities (registration, scheduling, reporting, etc.)
- Provide technical support to members relating to Alliance processes and to non-members regarding the Alliance portfolio of standards
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will exhibit the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
- Demonstrated knowledge of wireless communication principles
- Knowledge/experience with IEEE 802.15.4 based protocols and/or Zigbee is a plus
- Knowledge of IP based protocols is a plus
- Knowledge of other standards certification programs is a plus
- Knowledge of Database design and management principles
- Experience with web-based applications
- Strong communications skills and customer facing experience
- Self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working/collaborating across a geographically diverse team.
