DE6600

The DE6600 is a dedicated device that designed for the United Kingdom smart metering program, which will act as a gateway between the smart meter system and the head-end system (HES). DE6600 is responsible for setup the home area network (HAN) based on low power radio using ZigBee (2.4GHz) and maintain communication remotely with the HES via a wide area network (WAN) using the cellular technology in a safety control manner. DE6600 supports data collection both for gas and electricity meters on scheduled or on-demand methods. It also supports IHD to display energy relative information for the user. The DE6600 is built in small footprint, flexible enclosures for installation, low power consumption and high reliability, which provide a cost-effective communication solution for UK smart metering project.
