The EDMI Gateway is a Consumer Access Device (CAD) which provides a bridge between the powerful data from smart meters and the potential smart home of the future. Utilities can utilise this data to empower their customers with greater insights, enabling them to take control of their energy usage and spend, with the ability to set alerts and budgets, all from their mobile or website. But that’s just the beginning. The EDMI Gateway can also connect with other smart home devices, such as thermostats, sensors, lighting, opening up a whole world of possibilities for any household. Built with the UK’s smart meter infrastructure in mind, the EDMI Gateway is SMETS1 and SMETS2 compliant, which can interact with communications hubs, electricity and gas meters via Zigbee.
