EnerBee Showcases World’s First Batteryless/Wireless Rotary Dimmer Module

Grenoble, January 4th 2015 “ EnerBee, the French startup that has invented and developed an unparalleled-worldwide micro-generator to replace smart-object batteries, will showcase the world’s premier battery less  wireless module for rotary dimmers at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas 2016. EnerBee was founded in Grenoble (France) in 2014. It has developed a ground-breaking micro generator “ the world™s only device that can efficiently harvest energy from small and slow motions to power smart objects, and thus eliminate batteries. Eliminate batteries in smart-home remote controls. In Spring 2015, the company had achieved to develop the world™s first rotary light dimmer demonstrator working without batteries nor power cables. EnerBee™s demonstrators had already retained the attention of many dimmer and smart lighting manufacturers, demanding battery less solutions for residential or commercial smart lighting markets. Today the EnerBee team presents the integration of this breakthrough technology into a turn-key rotary dimmer product for switches and smart light manufacturers. The Dimmer Module includes EnerBee™s multi-patented micro-generator, mechanical gearing and a wireless radio emitter, enabling manufacturers with fast and efficient integration in their products. EnerBee™s micro-generator uniqueness relies on its ability to convert the simple act of turning the dimmer knob to produce electricity. That electricity is then used to send commands and wirelessly control lights, that will either be switched on, off, or change their intensity.

Joining the Zigbee alliance The EnerBee Dimmer Module uses ZigBee communication protocol which makes it compatible with awide range of smart light bulbs and solutions available on the marketplace. I would like to welcome EnerBee as an adopter member of the Alliance, said John E. Osborne II, Chairman of the ZigBeeAlliance board. œWith its innovative energy harvesting solutions, EnerBee serves beyond the smarthome market. I believe that their leadership in this industry will greatly benefit our members andconsumers of ZigBee products.EnerBee will start sampling in April 2016 and plans its production ramp-up in Q4 2016. CES visitors willbe able to discover the EnerBee module at Las Vegas from January 6th to January 9th. EnerBee selected to be part of the Business France delegation CES is the world™s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. Held in Las Vegas every year, it has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years”the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the market place. For the 2nd consecutive year, Enerbee will showcase its products at Eureka Park (booth#80538), the innovation lab of CES. This year, EnerBee will be part of the official French Tech delegation. A selection has been carried outby Business France to choose companies that have the most promising product innovation and astrong potential to generate a business in the U.S market. EnerBee has been chosen by a jury ofexperts to be part of it.
