The Dual Band Communications Hub Fylingdales is the device that provides communications between a Smart Meter and the Data Service Provider by means of a Wide Area Network, and between a smart meter and devices in the Consumer Premises (such as In-Home Display units) by means of a Home Area Network. The device supports dual frequency bands on the HAN, 2.4 GHz and 868 MHz. It operates on the 450MHz WAN frequency.
