About the Japan Interest Group
The Japan Interest Group is a branch of the Alliance formed by Member companies who share an interest in the Japanese smart home market and IoT industry. Membership is open to all Connectivity Standards Alliance Promoter, Participant, and Adopter level Members.
The Japan Interest Group brings Members together and works to promote Alliance technologies by:
- Coordinating and engaging with Alliance Marketing to actively drive Japan-based events and speaker programs.
- Proposing technical updates to meet Japan’s regional requirements through appropriate Alliance Working Groups to aid in the development of global, open IoT standards.
- Promoting and increasing awareness of Alliance activities in Japan, with an initial focus on Matter and Aliro.
- Attracting and recruiting new Japanese Members to the Alliance.
- Sharing knowledge and information among Japanese Members of the Alliance.
The Japan Interest Group is currently comprised of over 30 companies committed to dedicating their time, talent, and expertise to the Japanese smart home market and IoT industry.
