Infineon Wi-Fi Door Lock with OPTIGA Trust M MTR

By Infineon Technologies AG

This Infineon Wi-Fi Door Lock hardware development platform is a feature rich tool for creating secure and convenient access systems. It combines the strengths of the PSoC 62S2 Wi-Fi BT Pioneer Kit (CY8CKIT-062S2-43012) with the OPTIGA Trust M MTR security solution to make the ideal smart door lock combination.

The PSoC 62S2 Wi-Fi BT Pioneer Kit (CY8CKIT-062S2-43012) helps developers and engineers achieve reliable, ultra-low power Matter over Wi-Fi solutions and helps them get to market faster. This feature rich hardware evaluation platform enables development of applications based on the PSoC 62 series MCU and AIROC CYW43012 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth combo device. PSoC 62 series MCUs are built on an ultra-low power 40-nm platform, based on a dual CPU architecture of Arm Cortex-M4 and Arm Cortex-M0+, with low-power Flash technology, embedded security, programmable digital and analog resources, and best-in-class CAPSENSE technology for touch and proximity applications. Infineon’s AIROC CYW43012 is an ultra-low power single-chip, combo device that supports 1×1 dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Bluetooth 5.4.

OPTIGA Trust M MTR is Infineon’s OPTIGA Trust M, a CC EAL6+ (high) certified discrete security solution combined with a Matter provisioning service. It is Matter-certified and works with any MCU/SoC, making it easy to add secured Matter compatibility to existing IoT designs. OPTIGA™ Trust M MTR provides a secure I2C channel to communicate to add an additional layer of security. Working closely with Infineon’s partner Kudelski IoT, the solution offers late stage personalized Device Attestation Certificate (DAC) injection to give OEMs the flexibility to update DACs up to the start of production. This combination makes it an ideal solution for building secure access systems, like smart door locks.
