The Matter bridge is a bridging solution designed to seamlessly connect existing non-Matter smart devices with the Matter-supporting ecosystems. Through the bridge, non-Matter devices can be uniformly registered, discovered and managed, enabling intercommunication operations with Matter-compatible devices. The bridge supports functions such as commissioning, device deleting, status synchronization, and controlling. It also handles dynamic endpoint mapping and cluster mapping to ensure that the status and control data of devices with different protocols can be synchronized to the Matter network in real time. It not only extends users’ existing smart home investments, but also provides developers with flexible device access solutions, simplifies multi-protocol management, and supports OTA upgrades, enabling the entire smart home system to achieve high interoperability on the basis of security and reliability.
