The CAD provides a comprehensive range of smart meter data to a remote server. The information is obtained from the SMHAN and then transmitted over the Consumer HAN (CHAN) to a wireless router. The CAD functionality uses an IEEE802.11 compliant MAC and PHY SoC. This provides a link to IEEE802.11 home routers thus enabling this energy data to be sent to remote servers.
