Neal Kondel

Neal Kondel heads the Building & Home Systems segment within NXP’s Industrial Systems Engineering and Marketing (ISEM) organization, driving strategic initiatives across NXP’s full product portfolio and global regions. In this role, Neal oversees teams in product management and system architecture that partner with the industry’s most innovative customers and ecosystem leaders to advance next‑generation technologies in Security and Surveillance, Building and Home Control, Fire and Life Safety, as well as Appliance and HVAC systems.

With more than 30 years of experience in the software and semiconductor industries, Neal brings deep expertise in product management, marketing, and engineering, spanning wireless IoT, security, and power and energy management. He also plays a key role in shaping industry standards, contributing to NXP’s participation in organizations such as the Wi‑Fi Alliance, Thread Group, and Bluetooth SIG, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Connectivity Standards Alliance.

Neal holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering and business administration.

Based near Salt Lake City, Utah, Neal is often on the road meeting with customers, partners, and fellow Alliance members and staff.
